Well....not myself but my fiance' is. We just found out this afternoon.

Only a couple of months along, so still time to prepare.

btw...I am 52 now, and this is my first child.

I am convinced you will be a really cool Dad! As for dads I bet yours is pretty excited about the prospect of a grandchild. Will this be his first grandchild?

Do not let that age thing scare you, one of my good friends adopted twin girls from Russia when he was 50. He has really enjoyed the experience of children around the house. i think you will as well.

Well one thing I know for sure, my little one will be able to listen to lots of cool music on my OtsAV system...and music will be a big part of their life most likely based on my g/f and I.

My dad is quite happy, but I do not think it has sunk in for him yet. He will be 85 next month and is not always "here" but when he is, he is smiling. This is his first grandchild as I had no siblings.

I think more so now than ever before, I am ready for this. I seriously doubt I was anywhere close when I was younger.

I expect this will be one spoiled little one when it arrives. And already, Chris is talking about more.

The other thing I know is this will be one very well photographed child. So we will be looking forward to seeing some of those pics here on he forum!

I understand that they have color 3D ultrasounds these days that they do on pregnant women; so you should have some really early wonderful pictures of that baby.

Now you have to start thinking about names or boys and girls.

It will sink in for your dad when that baby gets here, and he gets the chance to be up close with it.

My Grandfather was alive when our boys were born. Even though his mind was not as sharp as it once had been, he was very excited with those babies.

Oh no worries about names Brian. I think Chris has a few picked out. I, however, know we have a few months so will wait until we know for sure the gender before thinking seriously about names.

As for pictures...no doubt there will be a few. As well I now have a DVD video camera so that will be put to use as well.
